The Baton Rouge area has several USTA adult leagues throughout the year—Seniors, BMW Combo, Mixed, Flex and Spring.   USTA membership is required for these leagues. BMW Combo play begins in early September, Mixed begins at the end of May, Flex takes place throughout the year and Spring begins in early January. Senior league play takes during the same time as the respective league occurs. Please go to the specific league located on this web page for more information.

Other leagues offered in the area include GBRCTA Championship league which begins in September and USTA membership is not required. More information about the league is located on this web page. BREC (public parks) offer Novice leagues at Independence and City Park Tennis Centers. These leagues allow beginner players (not quite ready for USTA league play) an opportunity to learn the game, receive instruction and play competitively. The league lasts 6 weeks, is offered year round and does not require USTA membership. Go to www.brec.org/tennis for more information.

Looking to meet other tennis players? The Highland Park Tennis Assn. operates year round a round robin each Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon at Highland Park Tennis Center. The round robin is open to players of all levels. For more information go to www.hptabr.com
